| I just finished reading "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. This was a really good book. It is about how in nineteen minutes the course of your life can be changed, and your views on a topic become far less black and white. The heart of the story takes place in a small town high school which is the scene of a shooting along the magnitude of Columbine. Where this book is interesting is that it tells the story through the eyes of not only one of the victims, but also the shooter, the shooter's family, a victim's mother and a lead detective. It's chilling to read this book and draw the similarities between this story and that of other school shootings. It has stories of love, stories of hate, and ultimately stories of forgiveness all in one very entertaining novel. I highly recommend this book.

| I have read several books by Jodi Picoult. That one was good. My favorite by her was My Sisters Keeper. Warning you may want to keep a tissue nearby (tear jerker).

| I completely agree about "My Sister's Keeper". It was such a great book but very difficult to read. I was so torn on what was the right and wrong decision for the younger sister. Do you think it is okay to ask your child, or make the decision to subject them to endless medical procedures to save the life of a sibling? I cannot imagine how heartbreaking that would be for the parents, let alone the children involved. Makes me hold my kids so tight and thank God for the healthy days he has given us, and pray for their future health.

I have liked most of her books. I loved both 19 minutes and My Sister's Keeper the most. She has a new one out, 3/4/08, has anyone read it?

Would you all like to have an "online" book club for her newest book?

| I love that idea! I am on the waiting list at the library for her latest book, and would love to talk with others who have read it. She is such a thought provoking writer, I believe that her books would be perfect for a online discussion. Count me in.
